This verse was originally written by the apostle Peter to the early Christians scattered in Asia. I can only imagine the peace and comfort he wanted to send as the church faced persecution. Today, this verse continues to communicate God’s love and care for us in times of trouble. It is actually my favorite verse in the Bible!
